Westerkit, together with a local education expert, interrogated the product and found that the English and Kiswahili Literacy program offered by the Family Learning Company is homogeneous with the Digital Literacy provisions enshrined in the KICD framework of the CBC.

Introducing Digital Learning Competency

The Digital Learning Competency Standard covers Digital Literacy in Kiswahili & English in the age group of 4 to 12 years. With over 4,000 activities, the program develops competencies in Kiswahili and English by offering research-based interactive multisensory activities to the learner on a digital platform.

The ultimate goal is to improve each learner’s reading and writing skills and also their cognitive abilities.
